Join us for week 33
Week 33: Online dating. Have you? Would you?
Blogging is an opportunity for authors to connect with readers. Despite being writers, blogging is an entirely different style of writing and often stumps us. To help our authors blog consistently, thoughtfully and with purpose, Marketing for Romance Writers is announcing the 2020 Blog Challenge. Each week, authors use our writing prompt to create a meaningful blog post. We'll be posting every Friday... join us as often as possible.
All authors with blogs are welcome to participate. It's very simple!
- Sign up in the comments below to commit to the challenge.
- Copy the badge onto your blog's sidebar. Share it on your social media networks. Be sure to link it back to this page.
- Write your weekly blog post based on the given prompt. Use #MFRWauthor in your title, and be original - don't use "week 2 of 52-week challenge" because that is not unique and won't drive readers to your post.
- Make it easier for other bloggers to share your post by writing your blog title in third person or adding your name versus using "I", "me," "my" or "mine." (e.g., Instead of putting "What I learned from my worst review," say something like "What one snarky romance writer learned from her worst review."
- Return to the MFRW Marketing Blog weekly to add your blog post to the linky list. This will be available each Tuesday for that week's posts. When adding your link, use the post's direct link - not your blog home page.
FYI, when you go to my site, you need to click on the link for my HOME page. My website doesn't allow for me to add the title of the blog after the site name--the page you land on for my site is always my most recent blog.
ReplyDeleteIt works for me. Once there, I can click on the blog link, go to your home page, and then click on the title and go back to the page for that link.

Kayelle is right. I put in the URL for your post. In the beginning, your link didn't work, but it works now. Not sure if your post needs to be live before you get the URL, but following what Kayelle did I was able to access your post and I added the URL to the Linky List.
DeleteThanks to both of you! When I schedule it ahead of time next time, I just won't put the title in. As long as you land on my blog page, you'll be where you need to be. Live and learn.
ReplyDeleteWe want you to put the title in the slot. That's part of the reason people visit -- to see what you're talking about. And if you don't use the actual link, one of us has to add it. So do add the title and the link. It's a necessary part of the hop.
